WSVC
Dead Dog Records
If you're traveling through Bloordale, Dead Dog Records should be on your list of stops. Their racks and shelves are filled with LPs and CDs, plus turntables and an assortment of headphones to get you started on a collection. In addition to their collection of music, Dead Dog also offers a wide selection of movies, t shirts and collectables covering all kinds of fandoms.
LP'S LPS
It's hard not to find something you'd like in LP's LPs. It's just as hard not to find something you didn't know you wanted, as well, thanks to their unique selection of vintage and new LPs, 45s, and cassettes, ranging from the classic to the rare and obscure. For anyone interested in electronic, psychedelic, and post punk, this store is for you.
Pandemonium
Since 2000, Pandemonium has been buying, selling, and trading music, movies, and books, and since 2012 has called the 2920 Dundas West home. Not only the oldest member of the WSVC, but also the largest, with rows and rows of vinyl records between walls lined with books of all kinds. A trip to the Junction isn't complete without browsing their impressive collection.
Tonality Records
For those interested in vintage electronics and instruments, Tonality Records will undoubtably impress and surprise. Through the glass door on its relatively small storefront, Tonality opens up to reveal walls filled with LPs from all over the world, and tables covered in cassettes, vintage electronics, and other odds and ends. One of the most pleasant surprises is their selection of vintage guitars, basses and amps nestled towards the back of the shop.
She Said Boom
She Said Boom is the kind of store that demands a visit when walking through Roncesvalles. Situated towards the top of the road, surrounded by restaurants and packed to the ceilings with new and vintage books, records and DVDs, they are the perfect stop to start or finish a journey through a west side vinyl crawl.
Cabin Fever
Nestled two blocks east of High Park, Cabin Fever offers a unique collection featuring a mix of electronic, hardcore, alternative, hip hop and indie. Additionally, Cabin Fever is a cafe and licensed bar, giving its patrons the opportunity to enjoy a craft beer or an espresso and peruse the shelves of records, or grab a sandwich and have a crack at high scores on their pinball machine.
